Loading Painter Nozzle Libraries:

"Load Library" Method

This method loads a whole Nozzle library and replaces the current one. Since it is only temporary it's a good way to preview what's in a library. Then you can use the "Nozzle Mover" method to add them to the default Nozzles.

Mac users: Click here to get AppleScript PC to Mac convertors and instructions for using the Painter CopyRSR Utility.

If it's not already open, open the Brushes Palette by double clicking the Brush Icon in the Tool Palette.
In the Brushes Palette, select the Nozzle Menu...
... and select Nozzles...
This opens the Brush Controls: Nozzle Palette. Click in the Current Nozzle box...
...Scroll down to the very bottom of the popup and select "Load Library" (your popup will look different from this one!).
In the file selector, navigate to where the Nozzle is stored. It should have a green Shamrock icon. Click the Nozzle you want and select "Open". To go back to the default Nozzles select "Painter 3D Nozzles".
To paint, click the Nozzle Icon in the Brushes Palette...
...And select which one you'd like in the Nozzle Palette (red arrows). To see all of them, you may need to expand the Palette by clicking the violet bar (blue arrows). Oh- be sure you've selected the Brush Icon in the Tools Palette!

Remember: this method is only temporary. Restarting the program will recall the defaults ("Painter 3D Nozzles") file.

"Nozzle Mover" Method

In the Brushes Palette, select the Nozzle Menu (at top/right) and select the Nozzle Mover item.
In the Nozzle Mover Dialog, the left window shows the default Painter Library. Under the right window, click Open and select the desired Nozzle Library.
All the individual Nozzles now are shown in the right hand window. Click and Drag the desired Nozzle from the right to the left window and let go. Painter moves the Nozzle. This can be done either way and you can create New libraries as well. Select Quit to exit.
