Walking Rock - Salton Flats, Utah

Can you tell what I'm thinking about here in the hot and humid southern US at the end of July? Anyway, this started with a bunch of rocks exported from Bryce. I loaded these into FormZ where I applied a high level of smooth surface subdivisions, random point disturbances and various deformations. The walking rock was purely accidental. The dead grass is just 8, 110 poly objects, bent in different directions. These were loaded into Bryce and multi-replicated 50 times, with no offsets. I then used the Randomize/2D disperse to move them around.

The tree is a Bryce tree with no leaves and there are 11 Bryce terrains including one set to negative, to create the pond. All the textures are "from scratch" originals, created for the July 03 Renderosity challenge.

Rendered in Bryce 5.0.1 at 64RPP/ DOF on a 1.4gig G4 Mac. Render time: 5 hours, 48 minutes. No post except my sig.
