Sea Dragon

Zad Australianis

My entry in the "Underwater" challenge at Renderosity Bryce Forum. This uses a solid color volumetric cube (at a Quality of 76) that surrounds the camera and the scene elements. The rays come from a water plane set atop the cube.

The Sea Dragon and the Trigger Fish are from DAZ and posed in Poser 5. All the vegetation is from Tree Pro with the Medusa plant presets courtesy of David Argemi. The rocks and Sea anemone were created in FormZ and the sea bottom is an export from Mojoworld.

The scene uses only a single omni light (sun off) with a custom gradient falloff.

Rendered in Bryce 5.0.1 at 36RPP by running two copies of Bryce (one rendering the left half, the other the right) on a dual 1.4 Ghz Mac G4.

Render time: about 11 hours.

No post except my sig, combining the two render half's and gamma correction on the PC version.
