My entry in the January Renderosity Bryce challenge: "New Beginnings". Loosely inspired by some of the lyrics to Bruce Hornsby's "Fields of Gray". It's also a bit of a political statement on current world events. The Skeleton is from Poser 4 which was exported to FormZ, where I did a 2X Smoothed Surface Subdivision, so it didn't look so faceted. The helmet model was done by Anthony Appleyard and the gun by DarkMagi, both from Renderosity Free Stuff. The flowers are from the 3DPlants site. The ground is 2 hi-rez Bryce terrains, using the Mud Cracks preset. Staged, textured and rendered in Bryce 5 with Soft Shadows and a light volumetric fog cube. Render time: 4 hours and 25 minutes (34 RPP, 500MHz Mac G3).
