Threading the Needles

The terrain in this scene is a 1.2 MB .OBJ export from MojoWorld. It's quite fun to see vertical faces in Bryce (linear landscape generators don't handle steep slopes well and the truly vertical not at all!). I think it's kind of interesting to note because the terrain goes from completely horizontal to completely vertical, you get the full "range" of the slope mapped texture. I probably should have upped the export resolution a bit to get rid of the "sawtooth" effect but I kinda liked 'em.
The balloon was created in Form*Z, UV Mapped with UVMapper and textured in Photoshop. The captain is the Poser4 Casual male with the P4 Baseball Cap, retextured in Photoshop. The scene was composed and rendered in Bryce 5 with a render setting of 64 Rays per Pixel.
